Mary K. Tedrow

Mary K. Tedrow is a National Board Certified Teacher of English Language Arts/ Adolescence and Young Adulthood with twenty-six years of classroom experience. She is also Director of the Shenandoah Valley Writing Project, served as a commissioner on the National Education Association Commission on Effective Teachers and Teaching, and is a charter member of the Center for Teaching Quality Teacher Leaders Forum (now the CTQ Collaboratory).
Mary has written for Teacher Magazine, Aspen Publishers, the National Writing Project Quarterly, and other outlets. Her past experience includes advertising copywriting for companies such as Rubbermaid and American Woodmark. She began blogging about education policy in 2007 at Walking to School.
